In the evening of 30 June 2011, the Program of Arts Exchange for country islands held in coordination by HCMC Union Committee, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and HCMC Television Station has attracted so many units, individuals to participate in. Toan Thinh Phat Corp. contributed approx. 140 millions VND to the program. On this occasion, the Tuoi Tre Newspaper in issue of Friday 01 July 2011 has inserted the opinions of Mr. Huynh Phu Kiet, President of Corporation’s Management Council on this program.

Program “For country islands”: Absolutely not to make concessions on sovereignty

It is the emphasis of HCMC Union Committee’s Secretary Nguyen Van Hieu on significance of program for exchange, arts “For country islands”, held in held in coordination by HCMC Union Committee, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and HCMC Television Station at the Military Zone 7’s Contest House in the evening of 30 June 2011.

On behalf of the youth of HoChiMinh City, Mr. Hieu said that, through the program “For country islands”, the HCMC youth would like to send a strong message on determinative will together with the whole country to build and to defend steadily the father land of Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to protect sovereignty, perfect territory, especially the territorial seas of country islands.

“We are absolutely not to make concessions on sovereignty, resolutely strive to secure performance of lawful operations of Vietnam in the East Sea” – Mr. Hieu affirmed.

Through the program, more than 3,500 young persons in HoChiMinh City have being seen the islands seem nearer. In which, the most moved story in program to be over 2,000 messages, short words showing sentiment to the remote islands of the country to be written on pieces of paper, cards designed by the youth which paste closely at the alleys to theater.

Giving in cards, Mr. Nguyen Ha Anh – a student of Van Lang University - written: “Saigon now is animated so much, quite different from the air where the soldiers living in distant islands. But in city and island, in soldiers and students, we all have love of island, love of sea and ready to do everything for defending the islands.”

Through telephone wave, though signal is not so good due to bad weather, Mr. Pham Gia Huy – a resident of Truong Sa Town – has exchanged with the youth. Mr. Huy said: “Truong Sa though still being deficient, difficult but the soldiers and the islanders always try effort to build the island. An island strong, rich and peaceful would give contribution to the inland strong, rich and peaceful”.

In the last evening exchange, several enterprises, individuals and Union’s organizations has contributed in support of 1.56 billions VND to the fund “For lovely Truong Sa” and 07 units in HoChiMinh City also contributed with 800 millions VND to the program “Stone Contribution for building Spratly (Truong Sa) Islands” (up to date, the program has collected 8.5 billions VND). With several feelings on the islands, Mr. Huynh Phu Kiet said:

"Realistic actions "

Toan Thinh Phat owns approx. 1,000 cadres, officers, the open letter which being sent in the morning, then rightly in the afternoon, many branches, offices in provinces have had feedbacks to the Corporation. The amount of 140 millions VND is contribution of every person with each day-pay. I believe that, every patriotic Vietnamese should understand rightly that, we should give contribution to the country, nation by the most realistic actions.
